Responsibilities:

• Design and execution of network solutions
• Troubleshooting and remote network support of routers and switches, using a variety of routing protocols and working in leading-edge technologies such as MPLS, QoS, VoIP, BGP4
• Acting as a subject matter expert and/ or technical advisor to assist with device configuration, operation and performance
• Applying knowledge of architectural and environmental platforms to CPE design at customer’s site to support total circuit integration
• Writing complex technical and/ or user documentation in a clear and concise manner
• Developing and delivering shared learning technical training sessions
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience is required in areas of data networking which include Cisco, Juniper and 3COM routers and switches, IP theory and operation, and circuit troubleshooting

Technical requirements:

• Valid CCNP is required, CCIE strongly desired or Technical Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years’ experience on Cisco Routers
• Excellent knowledge of routing protocols; EIGRP, OSPF, BGP4, MPLS, RIPv2, etc.
• Design and implementation of ATM, QoS, VOIP, MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, CSU/DSU configuration and T1, T3, OCx knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of WAN troubleshooting/ problem determination on frame relay, ISDN, ATM, POS, metro Ethernet and private line
• Advanced knowledge of LAN troubleshooting/ problem determination on Ethernet and Token Ring, in complex redundant architecture configurations
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco troubleshooting/ problem determination and maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of Juniper, Nortel and 3Com highly desirable
• Advanced understanding of IP theory and implementation
• Advanced understanding of technologies at layers 1 through 7
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
