Our partner provides high quality infrastructure management services delivered from a single location to its Customers at the highest value. It covers the entire EMEA region 24 hours and 7 days a week serving its various International customers throughout Europe, for different market segments like Industry, Banking, and Logistics.

 

Responsibilities:

Computer Operator’s activities include monitoring of remote information systems, analysis of problematic situations and problems solution at the basic level. The operators must have basic knowledge of systems administration on the platform MS Windows and UNIX. Other technologies include administration of database servers, ERP applications or e-Biz technologies.

 

System operations are the “chef d’orchestre” inside the service delivery. Usually called Command Center, they survey and monitor system errors, application errors, hardware issues. Most of the incidents come through the System operations; they process dispatch and follow up the problem and changes.

This role is responsible for monitoring, controlling and operating complex computer systems, networks, applications and/or distributed systems in a multi vendor environment. They are also responsible for analyzing first level problems for all systems (according to the service agreements), resolving and routing as appropriate, supporting the Systems Management Processes specific to their customer requirements, performing I/O (tape and print) duties where appropriate and batch management when required.

 

The Computer Operator is responsible mainly to:


  • Alert Management
  • Ticket and change management
  • Problem determination and dispatching
  • 1st level administration on all competencies - administration, hardware and applications
  • Production Control (Batch and job control management)
  • Escalation initiating and tracking
  • Alerting control via reports

Job Qualifications:

 

Technical requirements:


  • TCP/IP networking and problem determination
  • OS principles
  • OS troubleshooting and problem determination
  • HW & SW terminology

 

Other requirements:


  • Analytical mindset
  • Good PC Skills
  • 2nd language required / welcomed
  • Communication skills, flexibility and teamwork

  • Ability and willingness to learn
