Responsibilities:

• Responsible for configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows operating system servers, in support of business processing requirements.

• Schedules and performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and other software packages and provides post implementation validation and remediation in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.

• Ensures server data integrity by implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

• Immediate response to system outages and prompt attention to non-outage problem tickets for a large scale environment.

• Ensures recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups.

• Executes Windows Server Administration standard operating procedures.

• Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

• Works closely with a large diverse team to accomplish common goals.

Requirements:

• Operating System knowledge (Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003/2008)

• Server & system Administration

• Incident and Problem Management including Root Cause analysis for OS and Hardware incidents

• Server Hardware knowledge

• Software, Firmware, and Driver updates and management

• File system and Print Queue management

• Basic Clustering and SAN concepts

• Strong problem solving skills

• Independent worker, yet able to work as a team where necessary

• High School education (or equivalent) or higher
• 3-5 years of Windows System Administration Experience
