Slovakia

Slovakia is a small, fascinating country in Central Europe, bordering Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Ukraine. It is a member of NATO, UN, OECD, WTO and EU and it is the most recent member of the Euro-zone (starting January the 1st, 2009).

Bratislava (population 430,000, ranked 45th in Mercer’s survey of the most expensive cities in the world), the country’s capital and largest city, is located at just 60 km from Vienna, making them the nearest two capital cities in the entire world. It is located on the river Danube, and offers great natural views as well as economic potential for development, which is why many international companies are located here. It is also home of the NATEK headquarters.
